About Us

The MOMS Club® is a support group just for you, the mom at home (part time or full time), interested in the world around you, wanting a variety of activities for you and your children, and proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your family!

The MOMS Club® is an international nonprofit organization with 2,000+ chapters in the US alone and over 100,000 members. We are the only international support group specifically for at-home mothers.

The original Abingdon Chapter was started in November 2002. At one point we had both a North and a South club, but now we just have one group. We have monthly meetings/socials, playground play dates, holiday parties, outings for mothers and their children, playgroups, and a monthly Moms Night Out. In addition each year we do a service project for the local community.

How to Join

MOMS Club stands for MOMS Offering Moms Support

Membership in the MOMS Club® of Abingdon is open to moms who stay at home with their children or work from home or part-time and are looking for companionship from other moms. The membership is $20 annually. This will pay for our international chapter dues, room rentals, craft and party supplies. You may attend two general meetings before paying your dues. All of our meetings and activities are during the day and open to moms and kids.

Activities

The MOMS Club® of Abingdon is always planning its activity groups and we're always looking for new ideas. We hold playgroups, arts and crafts, moms night out, holiday parties, service projects, and more! Our monthly newsletter also makes it easy to know what exciting events are going on in the community for kids.

Some typical events for our club are:

meeting for lunch and ice cream at Broom Bloom's Dairy Farm
working out some energy at cool local playground
meeting for coffee at Barnes and Noble while the kiddies play with the Thomas train table
going over someone's house for a playdate
getting together for some fun at My Gym or Fundamentals
going over someone's house to decorate pumpkins (or something seasonal like that)

MOMS Club® even has its own charity, The Mother to Mother Fund - chapters are encouraged to donate money to this great cause as the funds go to help actual MOMS Club members who may need some financial assistance in times of hardship and illness.
